Our roots

Antonio Mansi entered the legal profession in Gemona del Friuli in the mid-1950s. In 1968 he founded his own law firm, being among the first professionals to specialize in business and corporate law. He was a member of several Boards of Statutory Auditors and was also named President of the local Hospital. Professionalism, humanity and civil commitment were the cornerstones of his professional activity. In May 1976, an earthquake destroyed a large part of the town of Gemona, the region of Friuli and his office, too. He decided to start afresh from Udine, where he was actively engaged in the safeguard of the historical-artistic heritage. He published a monograph called “The safeguard of the cultural heritage and the landscape”, obtaining a teaching post as a professor of “Cultural Heritage Legislation” at the University of Udine. In the Friulian town of Udine, the lawyer focused on providing legal assistance to enterprises, which were booming at that time. The ever higher complexity of his activity required him to have solid traditional skills and, at the same time, look to the future.

In the 1990s Francesco started to work alongside his father, specializing in international civil law and business law. At that time, the firm broadened the scope of its services, showing expertise and professionalism, and the legal consultancy ranged from traditional business law matters to the most ticklish and complex disputes relating to internationalization, renewable energies, environmental criminal law, waste management and bankruptcy law.

Due to the gradual expansion of the professional activity, the firm had to move to its current location in a neoclassical building in Via Carducci, in the heart of Udine. The organizational structure of the firm was enhanced through the recruitment of new lawyers coordinated by Francesco Mansi, who share a common vision of their profession. As a result, the activities of the firm were gradually extended to the areas of business criminal law, labour law and social security law, family law and consumer law.

All lawyers working in the firm attended prestigious post-graduate specialization courses (also abroad, at renowned universities) and they are currently involved in post-graduate training as researchers and professors. The quality of the staff working in the firm is confirmed by the network of highly-skilled professionals working in Italy and abroad, who contribute to the management of external or logistically complex matters.

The synergy between heterogeneous skills enables the staff to provide accurate legal assistance in niche sectors, too, without forgetting the human side. They practice their activity in the same spirit of the founder, acting as a safe guide, being mindful of tradition but also looking to the future with confidence and passion for the legal profession.
